- Degree qualified in engineering or equivalent work experience

- This is an entry level position, the employee must demonstrate a willingness to learn construction processes and principles. Years of experience: Entry Level to 1 Years of post graduate work experience.

- Basic working knowledge of software Excel, Word, AutoCAD. Knowledge in Microsoft Project software is an advantage (but not a requirement)

- Basic written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collate materials into a template report.

- Basic time management and organizational skills with the ability to self-manage billable hours and ability to undertake own work with a high degree of efficiency and accuracy.

- Team player and able to adapt to changes within the construction process

- Intermediate written and spoken communication skills with a minimum basic understanding of English.

o  Assist the project team in the review and contract compliance with respect to contractor’s submittals such as;

• Shop drawings
• Material submission for approval and compliance to contract documents
• Monitoring of contractor’s schedule
• Tracking and highlighting critical items on the progress of long lead items.

o  Assist the project team in carrying out fieldwork, among others.

• Carry out inspections based upon site specific requirements as directed by the line manager compliant to established QA/QC plan, specifications and quality standards
• Record accurate inspections carried out in line with the site documents.
• Check the work done by the contractor
• Attend and witness material testing periodically following the project needs and schedule
• Review and comment in respect to As Built Drawings, and operations manuals.
• Assist with the H&S at site and advise line manager of any infringements.
• Monitor and advise line manager of all of the works within their specific area of concern.
• Any other duties that may be assigned as part of the construction works.

o  Documentation: Help maintain project documentation, including drawings, specifications, and progress reports.

o  Research and analysis: Assist in researching and analyzing finishing materials, trends, and best practices.
